So, I asked myself, I said "Self? Why would anyone read your stuff?"
Then I asked myself, "Why do you care? Post it and they will read."
So, here it is, in all it's glory - my first and so far only attempt at an original piece of fiction. I wrote this for a fiction writing course I'm taking this summer and am presenting it in workshop next week, but thought I might throw it out here just in case anyone out there might be interested in reading it.
I'm not sure how to characterize this short work, other than it's a character driven piece that I might later expand into a longer work. I discovered, much to my surprise, that I enjoyed these characters quite a bit and would like to find out what happens to them next. So you never know, once I finish Code of Honor, I just might come back and work on this further.
Anyway, enough of all of that....
